My job is considered "essential" as we print bags and sandwich wraps for some of the biggest players in the fast food industry. That business is still strong. A lot of our business is wraps and basket liners for smaller mom and pop bars and restaurants. The orders have stopped.
We were SWAMPED with work before this whole mess. Overtime was abundant. Just got word today that we no longer need Temps as a back up for tedious work and we are going to a 4 day work week. I am not concerned about my position as I am the ink tech and manage the ink department.
I am concerned for the hourly employees that really need this job. We need to open up the economy again. We can still do social distancing but have a stay at home order for the elderly and people who are immunocompromised. Lets also open up work where the sats are low.
This shouldn't be a "one size fits all" stay at home order. We cannot survive, as a country, if we shut everything down. This should be approached with a pragmatic eye. I am concerned how we come out at the other end of this. Yes, I know it is bad.
But it's also clear models were wildly inconsistent and incorrect. For the love if this great country and its great economy and people, we need to open up for business.

I tagged all of you because you have big followings and carry weight. I am not the only person that feels this way. Also, please, I hope no one takes this as me being calous for human life. Every death for this is tragic and should rest solely on the backs of the CCP.
