One thing Corbyn& #39;s time as Labour leader did is make it clear to me which people were serious about wanting a genuinely better society, and which people were just casual liberals who would throw the rest of us under the bus at the slightest bit of resistance
That& #39;s not to say Corbyn was perfect or that supporting him made you necessarily a good person, just that you could tell from the way people talked about Corbyn which side they would ultimately be on when it really came down to it
I certainly had criticisms of the man, but he was genuinely trying to make things better, and the people who seemed to take a sense of glee in criticising him every day, sneering at his supporters who& #39;d finally been given a tiny bit of hope, those are not my people
I gave a lot of people a pass for being critical of him 2015-17, but I will never understand people who claimed to truly want a Labour government but didn& #39;t get behind him after the 2017 result
