Trump accused "unscrupulous actors and profiteers" of exporting medical equipment. So far his order mostly seems to apply to a medical supply company in Minnesota that sells to Canada and Latin America
Asked why he won't wear a mask himself, Trump says: "Wearing a face mask as I greet presidents, prime ministers, dictators, kings, queens, I don't know. I just don't see it for myself"
“I don’t blame them. They can push back if they want," Trump says of Justin Trudeau and 3M pushing back against his order to stop exporting N95 masks to Canada
And now Trump is softening somewhat. He says that he will let longstanding orders go ahead. "If they ordered something and they’re waiting for, as an example, masks made here and going to Italy, I'm not going to be stopping that. I think it would be very unfair"
All of this is somewhat unclear, but Trump seems to be saying that existing orders can be exported but not new ones (?)
