I know it may feel important to let people know when they& #39;re following someone problematic, but I really do not appreciate the current culture of DMing strangers to dish a bunch of dirt on other strangers, especially when it is info that is already RAPIDLY spreading around.
Do you actually know the person you& #39;re messaging?
Are you warning them of imminent danger or loss (ex. Minor engaging w/known predator, current scammer, etc)?

If not, maybe reconsider! DMing is invasive, and many of these call outs contain potentially traumatic info.
Many of us keep our twitter time to a minimum and aggressively mute and filter to avoid the overwhelming amount of negative and triggering info this site produces. Forcing that info into someone& #39;s DMs circumvents those safeguards, with info the person can do very little about.
I do not appreciate spreading additional outrage, fear and discomfort in a time when we have so much already to contend with. Please consider unfollowing, telling your actual friends any info you think is important, and leave strangers alone.
