BREAKING: Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey issues stay at home order starting 5 p.m. on Saturday. #alpolitics
Ivey: "Our surge of hospitalization will occur in the next 2 or 3 weeks. Those patients are the ones who will become infected in the next few days. Folks, we need to extend our health orders now."
Ivey: "The COVID-19 is an imminent threat to our way of life ... staying at home is for your own good. It is also for the well-being of those you love."
Ivey: "I plead with you, I urge you in the strongest way possible. We’ve got to take this order deadly serious. Otherwise, it is a fact more people will die."
State Health Officer Scott Harris now up. "We have continued to try to get the best information we can and offer the best solutions we can."
