I'd like to point out the continued coordination between the gov's office, Steve Marshall and ADPH to undermine Alabama's black mayors who are trying desperately to protect their people. /1
Today, Marshall issued an opinion saying Montgomery's new order limiting biz to 10 customers at time was unenforceable because it "misinterpreted" order from the state health officer. It didn't. But an interpretation was issued by ADPH making Montgomery's order unenforceable.
That's on the heels of ADPH carrying Marshall's water last week when he was pissed at Bham for issuing more restrictive orders. After Ivey told mayors to issue anything they felt necessary, adph released the order that usurped the mayors' orders & required state approval.
This is the same AG and ADPH that have been comically behind on every aspect of this COVID-19 crisis. But by God, let a black mayor use his power, and they're a model of swift and decisive action.
Maybe the solution to getting our state govt to act appropriately to address this crisis is tell them it's all a plot by black mayors to gain power.
