For this week's #fishfriday: we're highlighting a booklet we created using info from the Guide to Eating Ontario Fish to help you easily make choices about the fish you eat from the #NiagaraRiver. /1
The booklet has colour-coded symbols to help you know which fish species and sizes are safe to eat, caution (limit eating), or should be avoided. /2
For each fish species, there is specific info about the number of meals of fish per month that is safe (or not) to eat depending on which portion of the Niagara River the fish was caught and which population you're a part of (general or sensitive). /3
This is just a snapshot of the Eat Safe Fish booklet! Visit our website to learn more or to download the booklet ( http://ourniagarariver.ca/fishing ). While you're there, check out our fishing survey, too. /4
Don't forget to leave your comments on the proposed revised 'Fish Consumption' criteria until May 4th, 2020. http://ourniagarariver.ca/delistingcriteria. /End.
