Ok, I may be over simplifying here, but if delay in testing is as a result of a shortage of Nucleic Acid (Which I believe is used for HIV testing) And we’re currently not even touching the usual volume of HIV testing right now, how has it not been redistributed to Covid testing?
Like I said, I’m not a scientist... There could be a number of technical reasons. But it’s something I’ve been pondering all day...
Sexual Health screenings aren’t operating in Ireland right now so surely reagents can be re-deployed for Covid, if that’s even possible?
