OK, so. After a day of hearing from businesses and a couple of banks, here is what I know about how the PPP lending is working so far (THREAD): 1/

Some businesses have gone to their lenders, submitted applications, and are waiting. No muss, no fuss. (Haven't talked to anyone who got the $$$ already, but if this is you, DM ME PLEASE.) 2/

Some businesses -- Bank of America customers i believe are the only I've heard from so far -- are very very angry because they have accounts with BofA but are not able to get SBA $$$ there. Why? Because they don't also have BORROWING accounts. BofA is prioritizing those accts. 3/

BofA is advising people who borrow elsewhere to please please go to that bank. They are saying working with a bank you borrow with will go fastest.

But for businesses that don't borrow....that's a problem. 4/

Some banks are not up and running (last I checked) -- customers from Chase are telling me that they are submitting info but that they are being advised the system for processing isn't going yet. 5/

And while some are getting applications and will be processing this weekend, there have still been hiccups.

Spoke to one community bank today. They said they got guidance after the Mnuchin presser last night, put out forms to their customers...and then... 6/

...the forms *changed* today, meaning they had to start over with their customers.

Told me they will be processing apps all weekend to try to get $$$ turned around. 7/

To back up and be clear -- BofA has also said they WILL be opening up the process eventually to other customers. 8/
