We're now getting to the stage where political pundits will call for the deaths of people who were "going to die anyway."
I still remember people getting upset over the concept of death panels but now that their stocks are affected, they're all on board with it.
Jesus died for your sins but grandma will die for the Dow. A worthy sacrifice because people from the older generation would "happily die to ensure their grandkids have a better life" or some such. As if we don't have an obligation to save them because of that.
We really are the absolute worst generation. The most narcissistic.
