How to send money to Mexico through XOOM for lucha libre benefit shows of your choice, a long Twitter thread from a dumb person who recently figured this out:
Most parts of the world use Paypal or something similar. Wrestling in Mexico is annoying behind the times, relying instead on a combination of bank & account number for money transfer. You can still use your Paypal account, it just takes more work to get going.
important disclaimers

1) i'm not responsible if this fails for you, you're on your own

2) YouTube SuperChat is another option but it takes 30% off the top. Xoom has a $3 fee and a $10 minimum, but it's a better deal if you're sending that $10 or more.
Start by going to http://Xoom.com  , which is owned by Paypal. Use your Paypal log in, same as normal. The next step may slightly vary if you've used this service before; I had to click "Send to someone new" next but you'll probably skip that.
Xoom will ask you where you want to send the money, and how much money you want to send. (You can enter in either currency box and they'll convert the other one for you.)
The next page has a box for bank name and card number. This is the info the person in Mexico will publish. Banamex is the most popular but it can vary; you need to be sure or it won't go through. I'm punching in the Lucha Memes account info as an example.
You can next choose between Bank Deposit or Cash Pickup. Deposit may take a day to go through. Normally I would be happy to go to an Oxxo for any reason, but most people probably want Bank Deposit right now.
Xoom will ask you which of your Paypal accounts to use next. It's an extra fee to use your Paypal balance instead of your own bank account, which is weird to me. But so you know.
Next, you need to specify a name, address, and phone number. This is the stumbling block because no one publishes that info. But I'm also guessing this is only used for disputes. The address can be anything but you'll need a phone number, preferably a Mexican fake looking one.
You'll get to the typical confirm screen. Hit authorize and it should go through in a day (with some confirmation emails coming your way.) The account info is saved in case you ever need to do it again. And that's it.
now that we've made it to the end of this thread, I'm not especially fond of the idea of giving donations to promotions to give to wrestlers. (Even less so when there's another party on top of that.) But you may feel differently. and there aren't great alternatives.
