thread on updates of my immuno prof giving us about the covid19 virus

ill update on this thread:
a prophylactic vaccine clinical trial in the process and launched in coming weeks. - the goal is to direct the bidy to produce thespike protein in such a way to elicit an immune response and the production of antibodies.

the dna mutability of the virus has a very low rate . there seems to be one spike protein on the receptor that is pressuring for mutation. others are more random low level antigen mutant drift.

despite being 8 strains of the virus, the mutations dont even reach 20 which makes it easy for making the vaccine (according to a specific graph shown)
