I want to provide some context for this tweet that makes it even more interesting. From 2011 to 2017, a man named Michael Brennan served as the chair of Scott Walker’s Judicial Selection Advisory Committee. In 2017, Trump nominated Brennan to the 7th Circuit to a seat the GOP held open for 6 years during Obama’s presidency despite there being some great candidates during that time.

Brennan became the first appeals court nominee to be confirmed without the support of both home-state senators in nearly 4 decades (Baldwin opposed him). (This is because Chuck Grassley chucked this long standing norm).

Now Brennan is a judge on the 7th Circuit. If any ruling about the upcoming Wisconsin election (in which Kelly is a candidate) gets appealed, it’ll go to that court. Just another ex of powerful men supporting/endorsing each other to sustain & concentrate their power.
