I feel like we're going to be reaping the negative effects of framing this uprising in nationalist terms for many years to come. Saying this as someone who was & still is against overly-simplified anti-nationalist critique & was waving flags a year ago.

I worry at some point this constant appeal to patriotism is going to risk sounding like the constant appeals to Islamic duty by NCP. Why is the Sudanese miner being appealed to in the same way as the owner of the mines?
