The Estate Is At It.
Again.
_ _ _

So around November last year, some guy who works for a debt recovery firm was sent with a letter to bring it house Number 81 in the Estate.

They were technically saying, pay up a loan or tutaku-obtain.

But 81 insisted, same name, wrong person.
Sasa, January ikifika hivi. BOOM. Lorry ikakuja kwa Esto. Auctioneers wamekuja na wasee wa kuinua chuma pale Shauri Moyo.
.
By the way this story is leading up to what happeed today at the Estate Covid19 Response Meeting.
.
But Esto is a Fortress of sorts. Kuingia ndio easy.
Imagine tuko January 72th, and then someone wants to spoil your entire year, na bado March 2020 inakungoja.

81's housie calls him and tell him that there are people who are saying they are auctioneers and they are taking everything from the house/

Chap chap 81 akatuma WhatsApp.
81: I have been informed that people are at my house claiming to be Auctioneers. I am trying to reach head of security. If anyone is in the Estate, please get security. The help and the baby are at home.

Luckily, 256 & 191 were home?

Mnakumbuka huyu 191? https://twitter.com/paushinski/status/1178350932150640640
So of course they alert security and head on to the house, as they wait for 81 to arrive.

So the auctioneers are insisting he owes them money, and the Esto guys are like, msiguze kitu kwa hii nyumba mpaka akuje. Ikawa shida vuta nikuvute for 2Hrs

Finally the goons go for cops.
When they try to drive out the watchies are like, 'Nyinyi mnaeza enda lakini hii gari haitoki hapa mpaka muongee na ule Mama.'

256.

Sasa ma-bouncer na security ndio hao wanashikana mashati. Our guards are forced to clamp the truck.

81 naye akaita lawyer wake akakuja mbio mbio.
But 256 is who? Ule mtu wa auction had been explaining himself to her and she had started believing him. So she is saying maybe the auctioneers are right.

So she starts interrogating mans. His wife is losing it too.

Kidogo kidogo, Land Cruiser ya AP kama ashu hivi wamemwok.
They tell 81 the court order has to be effected.

Luckily, 81 calls the Principal Secretary who lives in our Esto and he sends some senior cops to the Esto.

They calm everyone down, then send the other cops away, and then tell the auctioneers they can come the next day.
But 256 insists, the law must be followed. And there should be no interference.

But 81 is saved. By a whisker.

Kumbukeni cheo bado inawasha 256.

She goes on to WhatsApp and post the list of defaulters for service charge.

And who is at the top of the list 81.

Fodder for noma.
256: Hallo Neighbors. Kindly find a list of the defaulters in service charge. (She lists everyone).

Then she says, 'Those renting, we will be forced to talk house owners concerning service charge. For those who own houses, if it is too much, rent them out to avoid auctioneers.'
Guys ingilia her and tell her that was not right. Nini nini.

Anyway, 81 pays and posts the message in the group.

Alafu the drama dies down completely.

PS: The watchies were so pissed the truck did not leave the Estate for 3 days.
ANYWAY. SO TODAY.

Tulikuwa na meeting ya Estate Covid 19 Response, which is now a weekly meeting.

The team led by a Doctor in the Esto was outlining what we need to do, and hoe to keep ourselves safe.

The woman who turned her SQ into a shop is asked if she can stock us up.
For at least 3 Months.

She says she can but she is low on cash. Na kama kuna kitu mtu anataka, she can take orders.

256: Surely, Mama Moraa, hii duka yote lazima tukupe pesa kwanza. You are business woman. This is an investment we are giving you. Ambia baba Moraa akupe capital.
She is pissed off obviously, and keeps quiet. But she insist, 'for some people, cash first.'

Meeting ends. People go home.

But conversation goes on in WhatsApp group.

Wacha kawake huko vizuri.
256: Sikutaka kuogea but I think it is really unfair that in this crazy situation we are in as a country, some of our neighbors who even go to church, and have a capacity to help would want to ask us to pay upfront for work they do. It is their business. They should fund it.
Mrs. 178: Like you said, 'It's her business.'

256: But she is selling to us. Her business exists because we allow it to.

108: People who have never run any business really know how businesses should be run.

256: Are you saying I do not know to run a business?

108: Sisemi kitu
After lots of back in forth, Mama Moraa responds.

'It will take me a great deal of capital investment just to put together the things people were saying for just 10% of the estate.'

256: What is the issue? We're doing you a favor buying from you.

Min Moraa: You don't have to.
256: Please do not be rude to your customers.

Min Moraa: Like I said, for some people I will have to take cash for the orders.

256: You will not survive in business. Some of us will have to go to the supermarkets.

Min Moraa: With what money?

😼😼😼
Imagine Min Moraa post pictures of kitabu ya deni into the group.

People who owe money. Na 256 owes the most.

256: You cannot do that. This is a public forum.

Min Moraa: You were dressing me down in a public forum.

Mrs. 178: Ona sasa!

81: Let me know if you need auctioneers.
