I think we need to come to a consensus on how to properly compare NBA players from different decades/eras. PLEASE do me a favor and watch some FULL GAMES of Magic Johnson playing basketball.... HES BEN SIMMONS

My point is that Magic Johnson is top 5 all time on most peoples lists, which is fine, it just means that we currently make top 10 lists by judging players based on their talent/accolades *relevant to their competition at the time*

Actually I take back saying "this is fine". Its not. Paul George is 10X a better hooper than Magic ever was but he won't touch top 30 All Time because the competition in this day and age is SIGNIFICANTLY better in was in the 80's

I'm basically saying theres no good way to make an accurate all time list unless we separate the eras and make em like that. I just hate seeing Bill Russel ahead of Shaq, or Magic ahead of Kobe when we ALL KNOW those two would've gotten more chips had they played 30 years prior.

Like bro gimme prime Luol Deng over Elgin Baylor, Jrue Holliday over Oscar Robertson (top 20 on most peoples lists)... this shit is just not comparable...

And if u wanna put Magic top 5 you better have Wilt in front of him. Obvi his comp was awful but if were doing All Time lists based on standards of play at that given time, his stats and accolades should put him over Magic.
