This is an important thread. I think of Christian identity in terms of narrative. Folk re-tell, & live out the story of Jesus. All these narrative-shaped people call themselves Christians. This thread resonates with me, in part because of the many ways my conception of Christianity differs in so many ways from a perceived & #39;orthodoxy& #39;. My husband once playfully suggested that my worldview & #39;is quite animistic, I just happen to believe in Jesus the god& #39;.
This description leaves out some important things (my universalism, my commitment to the reality & centrality of the Resurrection), but possesses a lot of truth also.
