JIMMY MORELAND THREAD:

Moreland finished the year with a 61.3 coverage grade but showed improvement down the stretch.

Weeks 1-8: 56.0 coverage grade
Weeks 9-17: 65.9 coverage grade

This rep shows exactly who Jimmy is. He's as physical a CB you'll see despite his slight frame.
He does not care who he's up against. He will try to be as physical as possible.

The first play against Kittle didn't work so well, but in the second play, he gets his hands on Ertz and keeps him close.
He has some really clean reps in press coverage where his physicality bothers receivers. He's so much more comfortable when he can get his hands on you.
He has a tendency to get way too physical.

He was called for holding/illegal contact on the first two plays and the last play he literally tackles the receiver but didn't get called for it.

These were early in the season and he cleaned up the penalties throughout the year.
He struggles when he can't get his hands on the WR. There are more of these situations, but these were the two reps that stood out.

Allen Robinson has one of the cleanest releases in the NFL so it's hard to hold the first play against him, but it's a problem to keep an eye on.
I mentioned that he's most comfortable in press situations, but there are still some good reps playing off coverage.

I like the way he breaks on the first two slant routes but was just a little early on the first one. The second play is perfect.
I like this play for two reasons. First, he shows his quickness breaking on the ball, then despite not making contact with the ball he still fights the receiver's hands to not allow the catch.
I don't know if the Redskins will try to play him outside or in the slot next year because he's showed flashes at both spots

There's one thing that he'll bring to either spot and that's his physicality. He'll always play bigger than his 5'10" frame and it's hard not to love that
