As someone who's been suspicious of the Democratic leadership for some time now, even I'm taken aback by their messaging of late, which amounts to, "We're less sociopathic than the GOP on the margins, and we will therefore kill marginally less of you for profits."

Also, "We will do the bare minimum expected of any half-decent leader during a crisis, and no more."

"Now, like every other moment in my long career in politics, is not the time to talk about transformative change, or any significant progressive reforms for that matter."

"Please vote for the party that will do nothing to prevent future crises, but will do more, on the margins, to manage those crises once they strike."
