I have a funny social distancing tale and it will be a thread. Cozy up, prepare to laugh because we all need something to chuckle about these days.

First you need to meet my parents. They are happily married (44 years?) super young happy boomers who have heeded my advice about social distancing and staying home #GoodJob

They are friends with this guy. He is the father of one of my childhood friends and is basically our eccentric uncle. He is like a sibling and there are jokes, shared holidays, “family” spats, and lots of time together.

What you need to know about my eccentric uncle is that he is a social butterfly. He calls my parents 78 thousand times a day and they are always grabbing lunch and spending time together.

My parents are GIANT practical jokers. They have poured ice water over the shower curtain on each other many times over 45 years. And no one has murdered each other which, quite frankly, I don’t understand.

Because last night my kids were rowdy and I threatened to cook them and eat them for dessert like a scary witch from a fairy tale. I’m nowhere near as much fun as these people. I digress.

On Monday my mother sent me this. My parents drove to his house and teased him bad about having more TP than they believed he should have.

He was SO MAD and my mom was at the end of the driveway howling with laughter and the more mad he got the harder she laughed. He was very butt hurt. Because I mean no one likes April fools. bit he recovered and found the humor. So today...

My mom is taking virtual violin lessons and dear eccentric uncle just is bored out of his mind. Surely he has called 10 times already but she wasn’t answering because she is BUSY learning Violin during a pandemic

He has interrupted violin lessons BLASTING you got a friend from an appropriate distance away. Dancing. In a jester hat

I miss all these people so much. I’m completely smitten by their antics and by their staying in for their health and mine.

Also 2/3 of the people posted here will be reall butt hurt I put them on Twitter

Oh oh eccentric uncle is on the phone with me now trying to set up a twitter account “okay it’s says welcome to twitter...what am I doing wrong”
