Geno and Rebecca Lobo are currently discussing UConn's Best of the Best program on Instagram live right now.
Geno just declared Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as the greatest college basketball player of all time.
"I would say from 2000-2010, those ten years (were my best as a coach)...If you got '90-2000, I had to be great then because we had a lot of shit going on."

"The pressure was greater between 2000-2010 and the guys that I had to coach, whew, they were not easy to coach."
"Diana, her junior and senior year, was the best player I ever coached."

Geno said the first 2 weeks of practice in '03, he thought they were going to be terrible. Then after 2 weeks, he thought they were going to win it all.

"Diana made everyone seem 5x better than they were."
"You think a lot of coaching goes into winning four national championships in a row?...Four years of unbelievable players who are easy to coach."

"Even you dummies out there who know nothing about basketball could've gotten that team to the Final Four."
Geno on Paige Bueckers: "The thing that worries me about Paige and all the hype she's getting is she's too nice a kid. Maybe after a year with me, she won't be like that anymore. Maybe she'll take on my personality."
Geno on the team next season: "I don't know, they all might be wearing masks. Who the hell knows? I'm just hoping we get a season. I'm hoping we get everyone back for summer school which starts the last three days of May."
Geno, cont'd: "Of those ten, five are freshmen, two are sophomores and one, Evina, has never played for us...But to be honest, I'm excited as hell. I think it's going to be an interesting group."
Geno said UConn is "talking to a couple kids" in the transfer portal right now and said they're trying to make something happen, but probably won't know for a couple weeks.
Geno on how his quarantine is going:

"I'm really, really good at doing nothing. I'm expert at it."
Geno said he has to do a PSA for the governor later:

"I don't know if I'm going to do it in Italian or in English."
Geno said he doesn't know if Jamelle Elliot will be an assistant coach again next season, before giving an odd answer:

"We're in a tough situation here...we've got a lot of real issues to figure out there."
Geno on Megan Walker going to the WNBA: "If gets on the right team, I think she'll be okay...when it's time to go, it's time to go."
Geno weighs in on Sue Bird beating Maya Moore in the bracket:

"Either way, whoever would've won that matchup, I would've gone 'That's a tough one. You can't go wrong either way."
Geno said he had a zoom conference with his team recently, gave them some assignments but otherwise, "what can you do?"
Geno Auriemma disagrees with giving a national championship trophy to the team that finished No. 1, because "We'd have a lot more than 11" if that's how it was decided.
Geno, continued: "If I was betting, I would say that Oregon and South Caroline would play in the championship game and I'd give Oregon a little bit of an edge, based on their experience. That's all."
Geno said he couldn't figure out how to use Instagram: "It took me 45 minutes how to load this crap up."
Geno on why he can't be on Twitter anymore:

"Because I realized I can't control myself. So if I'm not on it, I won't say anything really stupid that will get me in trouble. So I refuse to be on it."
