So if this virus made its way around the US for months before we “knew” it was here, and the world didn’t stop, no one freaked out and we were fine assuming it was the flu, than wtf are we doing right now ruining people’s careers and lives and our economy?

This dosent make sense

Assuming it was as contagious then as it is now...
And looking at how many people that I personally know who had a “bad flu” this year, I would think so.
Was shutting EVERYTHING down and sparking panic the right call for this? Or was ignorance the bliss we needed?
