Over the years, because our family is so big and welcoming, we’ve had tons of friends come in and kinda ‘join’ like extended family. Most of them come from smaller families...

But there’s just something that comes from being in a big family that can’t be taught.

There’s a level of ‘I’ll do anything for you,’ that’s heavy because that’s like 8 people you will do anything for. That’s a lot of people. And that’s blood, not a chosen bond. But ‘he ain’t heavy, he’s my brother.’

My favorite family lesson is simply this feeling. Not what I can get but how I can make the family stronger as we get older together. It’s an honor to be in this bunch.
