Typical securitization tactic. “Lawless violence” isn’t much of an issue in this public health crisis contrary to how this president overblows it. But when your two brain cells can only think of law and order, you will think of literally everything as a law and order problem.

Did he really attack Chel Diokno for his... teeth to tease him about his loss in the elections? What is he, twelve years old? Rodrigo Duterte’s brain (assuming he has one) seems to be stuck in his elementary school bully phase and never grew up.

So, in short: a televised trashtalkan with the president going teeth-for-tat with Chel Diokno while backpedalling on the attacks on Vico Sotto and Leni Robredo—and still offering no public health measures. A waste of time, but at least we know the president’s scared and insecure.

Returning to this thread: the president spending his energy insulting someone’s teeth isn’t just a random and petty outburst, considering the other things he said to pacify the opposition last night. The teeth-for-tat seems like a good diversion tactic—but for what?
