I must say with an extremely heavy heart that this past year has taught me a lot about how fucked up, toxic & fake much (not all) of left grassroots activism is in #Ireland

This needs to change, rapidly.

1/

.
2019 was the year of a profound surge in far-right activity in Ireland and we on the left have many, many hard lessons and truths to learn from what happened throughout 2019, myself included.

#Solidarity is key.

2/
Everyone is suffering from mental health issues right now.

*Stress
*Worry
*Anxiety
*Depression

etc

Some suffer more than others for various reasons.

But regardless of this situation - we should never, not now or as we move on in this crisis sacrifice uncomfortable truths
3/
or injustices to others by using the excuse of our own personal circumstances, of course for some who are in dire situations this is impossible, their situation is so bad.

But for those of us whose situation is not so bad, what we can do at least is acknowledge bad shit...

4/
....that ppl are going through and say I'm personally not able to deal with this right now, but acknowledge the situation and hope that by at least doing that it will bring some positive to those who are being targetted/threatened/abused etc.

5/
It's called #solidarity & even in the most difficult of times we must NEVER lose sight of it.

End.
