The ASI excavations revealed that the RAM CHABUTRA or BEDI had not less than 5 different structural phases of construction and dates back much much beyond Akbar's lifetime.

NOTE: Chabutra constructed in 1858 CE (outside mosque) should not be confused with Bedi.

Akbar's association with Ayodhyā is shown for the first time through the Sanad granting six bighas of land for the construction of Hanuman Tila, that was issued on 28th March, 1600.
