2/ Their article starts off with an insipid truism hiding some deception (and an implicit disavowal of #testing) already. We already can *guess* #COVID19 is wide-spread — in NORTHERN Italy (and the distinction is very important) — just from the death-rate there.
3/ Now, Jefferson & Heneghan explicity mention Vò, in particular (Cinto) Euganeo. So let's see what Italian doctors in Vò (Cinto) Euganeo say THEMSELVES. 4/ Italian scientists say themselves they're only able to stop the #COVID19 epidemic by *mass*-testing, including everyone showing zero symptoms (asymptomatic), plus the lockdown there.

5/ But Jefferson & Heneghan never mention all of that *very* relevant stuff, & simply keep going as though they've made some major point (they haven't), then leap to the conclusion they want to preach. Note they don't bother with evidence — for or against — at all on this part.
6/ There are already studies on how lockdowns or partial quarantines could affect us all economically, AS WELL AS studies how the unchecked spread of #COVID19 could harm the economy very badly.

9/ NO, contra Jefferson & Heneghan, the clearest message coming from Italy is:
if you let your hospital system get over-run, people die. Systems fail, people die.
AND: if you let #COVID19 run rampant, many people will die — unnecessarily. Whether at home or in hospital.
