Recent @pewresearch survey results show how #COVID19 could be widening inequality by race & ethnicity:

49% of Hispanic, 36% of Black, and 29% of white adults say someone in their household lost a job or took a pay cut as a result of COVID-19.

Policy needs to respond to this. https://twitter.com/mhugolopez/status/1243264341392207872
The next stimulus bill can reduce racial inequities by including these measures that were left out of the last bill:

Expand health coverage for the uninsured, boost SNAP benefits, strengthen TANF, & make sure certain immigrant families aren’t left out from receiving assistance.
More aid to states will also help them to be able to push back against racial inequities.

The last stimulus bill did a lot to help families in need, but policymakers’ efforts should not end with that bill.

In order to prevent #COVID19 from further widening inequality by race & ethnicity we need more data to track these disparities and we need policymakers to respond.
