Some highways authority views on access & inclusiveness, have narrow focus on the vehicle rather than the person. It’s key to where things are placed, how they are adapted & then how everyone gains access to them. It’s fucking idle, it’s unprofessional & it’s utter elephant wank.

Drop kerb & tactile slabs for crossing provided. The Kassel kerb so level access can be gained to the bus. All out of the big jolly wanking blue engineers book of shitty standards. Job done, off they piss, clipboard in hand to tick a bollocks box on an inclusiveness indicator.

Consider where the stop is located, think about if you were in a wheelchair, had visual impairment or kids in a pushchair. What if you lived somewhere down the street with the X. Look at the massive arse ache of a trek you’d need to take (in red) if you wanted to catch this bus.

Why are there billy big bollocks junction flares like this. @TallestTim helpfully flagged up this site & measured them at 42m and 23m! A vast lake of unremitting tarmac spaffed with paint so all the little vehicles are safe & can speed round corners like shit through a tin horn.

You could easily provide paths across the space, tighten up splays, introduce crossings & drop speeds. Or just move the shitting bus stop. Maybe lose one of the roads & create accessible green space, not marooned in a mini Brands Hatch. Sadly other users can go fuck themselves.

Meeting requirements of vehicle movement & flow often overpowers the needs of others. The focus on the bus stop having accessible access has ignored whether its an accessible bus stop. All it would take is to lift their fucking heads up & take an actual grown adult walk around.
