I’m really concerned about Black people walking around with scarves, bandanas, etc wrapped around their faces to protect from COVID but being deemed suspicious or dangerous because of those precautions

Had to go out today. It was a gorgeous, sunny, warm day (not many of those in Michigan yet), but every Black person I saw was wearing a standard face mask or a winter scarf. No one had on a bandana. This is what it’s like to be Black in US-always worried abt layers of safety.
