After a watershed 2nd Circuit ruling, ex-AG Loretta Lynch has been appointed to help federal prisons “facilitate the expeditious adoption of procedures for dealing with ongoing and future emergencies, including the COVID-19 outbreak."

Her first status report came out yesterday.

One of the immediate concerns is that the Bureau of Prisons suspended family and attorney visits, and much of this status report deals with adapting to video conferencing in its place.
