Something I've been thinking about: Twitter has its pros & its cons in the best of times (and obviously I'm as addicted as anyone).

Yet, when the news is this relentlessly & consistently bad, and will be for awhile, it feels like the Twitter pace of news is overwhelming. 1/3
I'm not ignoring bad news or immune from it or privileged enough to be able to "tune it out." I guess what I'm saying is that checking the headlines every few hours will still give a solid scope of how bad things are, whereas the non-stop flow of news on Twitter may not be 2/3
adding much value, while contributing to beating down the senses at a time when mental health & psychology is very important.

I don't have an answer. I'm not quitting Twitter, just have been thinking about pros & cons of it in era of COVID news & wondering what you think 3/3
