(1) I remind all that Jesus on earth was a Man. He put off His God-Ness on earth and allowed Himself to operate solely as a Man --- but a Man with God in Him. Which is exactly how we are to operate and what He was showing us. This itself is so important.
(2) Among many things that mark the Man with God in Him is possessing the Heart of God. Carrying the heart of the Father. Manifesting it in the earth. --- There is just nothing like the heart of God and having it inside you. And letting it out and doing good without measure.
(3) On Jesus' 'Triumphant Entry' into Jerusalem (Palm Sunday), we see that Jesus wept over Jerusalem. The greek word for wept here is "klaio". It means to wail loudly. Jesus wailed for the people. He came for them. They did not understand why He came and what He was about to do.
(4) I can't even touch how Jesus must have felt and the size of the burden He was carrying for people. This is not at all a little thing, to gloss over.
(5) For sure it included His coming, to save people from their sins & them not seeing. But the people also missed anything about learning that they could walk as a Man with God in him/her, walking exactly like Adam walked before the fall. Jesus was the last Adam the Bible says
(6) and Jesus came to restore us to the position that Adam had before the fall. Not just without sin and justified. But someone who was to rule on the earth and fill the earth with the love and goodness of God. That was Adam's assignment. It was to again be introduced into
(7) the earth. Jesus demonstrated it first, by all the works He did. We were/are to pick up that way of living and being from there. Again, to fix the earth, in love, which was Adam's original assignment.
(8) Well, the people missed that too, and Jesus wailed.
(9) The Shepherd's heart for the sheep. This is not a mushy-gushy, emoting kind of heart and love. It goes so much deeper than that.
(10) Beyond just appreciating the heart of God that breaks for us, this is a call to respond to God. To answer Yes to all that He wants. To be everything we are supposed to be. That includes walking on this earth as those with God in them, fixing the mess around us, filling
(11) the earth with the love of God. This is also a time to lose the fear and opinions we carry, that we are to walk in this earth and do the SAME kind of works that Jesus did, and more of them like He said.
(12) How many works did Jesus do? One man? In only three and a half years of public ministry?
(13) "And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen." (John 21:25)
(14) We have a lot of work to do.
