So we have imposed rationing on non essential products, because while they're on the shelves, you can't, even clad in your masks and gloves, walk in the aisle to select.

This will affect those suppliers. So, you counter, just buy it on Amazon. Well, if it's not offered online

you are going to have real difficulty. Try to buy tools online, heavy tools. They still require instore delivery, and hopefully with restricted access you can get them without too much effort when you stand in line at customer service.

You see, the rate of sale, will decrease

and that too will affect the manufacturer / suppliers. Hopefully the suppliers are not financed by banks that have $$ tied up in mortgages, because people are not able to make those payments either. That contraction will limit the supply of funds at banks that are also used to

cover payroll for companies large and small. That happened in 2008, and was smaller in scale if we continue a complete lock down. We are only weeks away from the effects, and no amount of helicopter money will be able to sustain the economy at the levels we require.
