I'm getting reports from diff parts of the country that people with textbook symptoms of #COVID19 -- falling under ICMR's revised guidelines- are not being tested.

Docs have to request Chief Med Officers for approvals before testing patients + kits are with them...

TJ was stupid & that should not have happened. But we are testing them more liberally than we are testing others...2/2

This is bad public health policy. India is among the countries with the lowest testing rates.

We know how many TJ ppl tested positive only because we aggressively tested them. If the govt showed the same enthusiasm in testing every one who qualified.. we'll have a complete pic
