Due to the current #coronavirus pandemic, the world is undergoing a shift towards #remotework.

If this is your first time working from home, here are some tips that will help you.

[THREAD]
1. Choose a specific place for work (ideally a desk) to help shift your focus to your job and avoid distractions.

2. You don't need to wear a suit—unless you have a #Zoom call, but try to dress a bit more professionally than pajamas. The right clothes let you "get in the zone".
3. Tell your family (or any person you live with) that you're not going to be available during a set time to avoid unexpected disturbances.

4. Music helps you focus, especially if there are people moving or talking in the next room. I listen to a lot of video game soundtracks.
5. Don't forget to take breaks. Some people neglect physical activity or eating and keep working for hours nonstop.

Stretch your body, go to the balcony to get some fresh and rest your eyes, or prepare a small snack.
6. Set times when you are NOT going to work. It's easy to fall in the trap of trying to get something done while chilling with your kids, or before sleeping.

When you set a specific time for work, you have clear deadlines which pushes you to be productive.
7. You're working from home, meaning you're not commuting anymore or working 8 hours a day. You have more free time, so use it to spend time with loved ones (assuming they live with you) or improve yourself by learning new skills and reading books.
