I thought I’d do a small thread on the things I’ve been doing to help myself get through lockdown.
Some basics and some quirky.

Mornings, my body clock naturally wakes me at 6.30. If for some reason that doesn’t happen, my dog is normally only 10 minutes behind.
Due to some late nights, my body clocks switched to around 8.30/9
The extra sleep is kinda refreshing.

Caffeine - I’ll have two coffees & a tea in the morning.
Throughout the morning. I go onto water mid day as I like.. wait for it, I like monitoring my pee. As the day goes on it gets lighter. This is weirdly satisfying

Cleaning - no matter what time I get up or what mood I’m in, I always make my bed. I try to start the day by completing one thing. I also always make sure my bedroom is tidy. Even if the rest of my house is falling down, I know I can sit on my bed & shut the door on the chaos.
Moisturising - Jesus fuck. I’m doing it all the time.
Face masks & moisturising.
Seeing the glow each morning is uplifting & makes me feel good.

Work - Filming once a week & editing each day has been a good way of keeping my toe in. I’m not under any pressure of editing & feel secure enough that I’m atleast posting something each day. I’ll probably up this as time goes on.
Napping - I’m a big napper, I’ve always used it as a way of coping. It helps me escape. I limit it to around 45 mins as anymore I get too groggy or fall into deep sleep, which I don’t like.
I always nap with the curtains open as I like the natural light.

Meals from scratch - I find cooking therapeutic and I always look forward to a good meal at the end of the day.
I get food hangovers when I eat processed food, so I try to avoid them if I can.

Drinking - Ive been tempted to drink each night.
However, I decided to limit it to only Friday and Saturday. It just gives me something to look forward too. Like tonight, I’m looking forward to it. I don’t want the weekends to feel like a Monday & this has helped.

Netflix - I normally just watch tele in the evening. I’ll watch a series during the week and films on the weekends.
It just kinda switches it up a little.
If I need a full day watching tele, I’m also happy with that but I kinda like having something to look forward too.

Today - I shaved myself a landing strip in the lady jungle. Might do a heart shape next week. I smiled when I looked in the mirror - little things!

Productivity - I planned on making 100’s of clips, signing up to more stores & painting my kitchen.
I’ve made 16 clips & done nothing else. I’m not bothered. When the time feels right, I’ll do it.
Small steps work for me.
