#ALM201 On Feedback, a thread:
Feedback is vital & you& #39;ll find it everywhere, when you want it & when you don& #39;t. Everyone gets it & gives it at different times. While you can& #39;t control others preceptions of you, it& #39;s important to be open-minded when it comes to feedback. https://twitter.com/gamifiedme/status/1245916806377639937">https://twitter.com/gamifiedm...
Why?
Because feedback is ultimately about growth.
In terms of uni related work, @gamifiedme& #39;s classes offering audio feedback is great. I& #39;d never come acoss it before. It& #39;s far more positive than just written words. It makes you feel more connected to your work, the feedback is easier to understand & feels more personalized.
In terms of professional work, once upon a time, part of my job was writing reports about feedback results. The only feedback management cared about was 9& #39;s & 10& #39;s (positive outcomes)
Any negative feedback was brushed aside as not important.
So many opportunities missed.
In terms of personal feedback, I don& #39;t like to criticize. I hate it at times, especially if it& #39;s necessary.
I rather focus on positive elements.
But constructive criticism can go a long way. The key is offering up support- we all suck at some things & if someone suggests a way forward & help in getting there, then there is benefits all around for everyone.
