Social distancing has given me football cabin fever, so I decided to put my head down and have a crack at player analysis. Pervis Estupiñán caught my eye, both due to transfer rumours and quality of performance. Feedback would be very much appreciated! https://medium.com/@bigthingreg/pervis-estupiñán-1b4bb7257ed8
In addition to the article, I thought I'd post some clips which didn't make the cut but are still of intrigue.

Bale runs in behind and Estupiñán is admittedly caught out of position. Luckily, Bale's first touch is poor, and Pervis has the pace and strength to recover.
Taken from the same game, in this clip Osasuna rotate the ball on the left flank with one forward dropping into the horizontal channel and giving space for the other forward to run into. Estupiñán exploits this with a fabulous ball in behind.
This clip shows Estupiñán's athleticism and ball striking technique. Receiving the ball at an awkward height following and overhit cross, he volleys the ball back across the 6 yard box accurately. Unfortunately the (admittedly hard) chance is wasted.
Sevilla catch Osasuna on the counter, with both centre backs cutting across in an attempt to close passing angles. Estupiñán notices the need for LCB cover, preempts the attackers touch and calmly tackles, gaining his team possession.
Not much analysis needed here - his sole goal this season and it's a thunderous strike on his weaker foot. I daresay if he worked on his attacking positioning - specifically when to drop off into such spaces - he'd score a great deal more often.
I hope you have enjoyed this thread - give the initial post containing the article a retweet if you feel so inclined. I think this lad deserves more attention, and Watford fans specifically should take note.
