TRANSFORMERS MARATHON!
Stay tuned to this thread as I live-tweet my reactions to the three Transformers movies @Forceof_Bman and I are going to tackle this evening:

(In watch order)
1. Bumblebee (2018)
2. Transformers: The Movie (1986)
3. Transformers (2007)
To begin, I'll let ya'll know that the only movie I've seen out of the ones we're watching tonight is Transformers 2007. My husband @Forceof_Bman has seen all three!

Here we go! #transformers
Beginning of Bumblebee:
-Nice to see more Cybertron
-Interesting to see the autobots turn into cars even on Cybertron
-BUMBLEBEE HAS A VOICE!

@Forceof_Bman says he likes the more OG Transformers designs.
JOHN CENA
I don't know if I ever noticed the Transformers grunt when they fought before. A nice touch. Guess I never paid too much attention to it.

The fight scenes seem so much more like humans fighting rather than cars fighting. More hand-to-hand and gritty.
@Forceof_Bman really likes Charlie. He says the backstory that we're seeing is such a good build-up to the relationship she'll build with Bumblebee.
Bee transforming around Charlie is some definite movie magic.

@Forceof_Bman thinks its clever how they maintain a classic Transformers look from the 80s cartoons but still gave them a complex transformation into their natural form.

The emotion in Bee's eyes though... ❤
Are the Transformers always unable to control their entry into Earth's atmosphere? It always seems like they cannot and they crash like meteors.
The little tiny mannerisms of Bee are so cute. Rocking his feet, hiding, being scared. Its adorable. Can I have a Bumblebee for myself?
For this being a movie about giant robots, it's so human. ❤
I like the reference to the creation to the internet from the web of connections the Decepticons make when connecting to Earth satellites.
I thought it was a little gratuitous that when the decepticons found Bee that they were first aircraft, then transformed into automobiles, and then into their natural form. Brandon then told me it was a reference to the transformer toys that had two different transformations.
ENTERPRISE SPOTTED! 🖖🏻
Brandon said when Bee goes into "battle mode" and his eyes turn red that it reminds him of the Iron Giant.
Recognized one of the actions scenes from the trailer.

Also, rocket grenade hits dumpster that Charlie is hiding in and she's okay? Seems legit.
I think both the autobots and decepticons transform a great deal more quickly in this movie.
They teach jujitsu on Cyberton?
Awesome film. Love that it didn't have to be all action—it didn't feel any less like a Transformers movie.

Brandon's last thoughts are that the action sequences are the best out of any transformers film, even though there are less. He feels it is the most grounded of the films.
Onto #Transformers: The Movie 30th Anniversary Edition! We're 1/3 of the way there!
Getting a heavy anime vibe from this. I like it! Cybertron on a daily basis.
The unicron chomping noises though 😅
My heart. ❤😓😭
Woah, 2005 is RAD in this movie.
Megatron turns into a little tiny gun and its hilarious. 😂
The concept of autobots aging and their voice/transformations changing is super interesting. 🤔
Insecticons? 🐜🦗🕷🐝
Constructicons? Man, I am so behind here.

Brandon is geeking out about something called the combiner wars?
"Why throw your life away so recklessly?"

Also, Megatron has a lightsaber? Is this Gundam?
The constructions form Voltron? SIIIIIIIICCCCKKKKKK 😜
Best quote of the night from Brandon: "Unicron is just a big butthole in space."
I've made a rule that Brandon can't speak while Galvatron is speaking.
Daaannnnnngggggg swearing in a Transformers cartoon?
Brandon is saying that Blurr reminds him of Bart Allen from Young Justice. ⚡
It's really refreshing to see a female autobot. You go Arcee! 👊
I was wondering why Transformers were good to be underwater in Bumblebee, but I see that they're fine in water in this film as well!
BAA WEEP GRAHNA WEEP NINNY BONG!
Definitely spotted an autobot with facial hair.
World War Z, is that you?
The autobots are like mosquitos compared to Unicron.
HOT RODIMUS PRIME
#Transformers: The Movie was a fun ride! Wish I could've seen it as a kid, because it would have gotten me more interested in the franchise.

Brandon thinks Unicron rocks, and likes Bumblebee more than Hot Rod as a character. Agrees that the movie is good for nostalgia reasons.
Onto #Transformers 2007! 2/3 of the way there!
I was curious about whether or not the Allspark was something present in other Transformers lore— he informed me that it most certainly was!
I can remember having the biggest crush on Josh Duhamel when I first saw this film.
The first time we see Blackout transform in this film, we do hear the classic transforming sound! Never thought to listen for it until now!
The beetle that Bumblebee used to transform into is next to him!

Did Bumblebee know that Sam was a Witwicky, or was it just fate?
"More than meets the eye with you"
I find it ironic that the Secretary of Defense's son stole the Declaration of Independence 😂
The SFX/CG really hasn't changed a whole lot between this movie and Bumblebee. It almost feels a bit cleaner in this. Just a personal opinion.
