NYC continues to run public transit because many essential employees have no other way to get to work.
Public transit is running fewer trains and buses because so many transit workers have become sick with COVID-19.

Public transit is running fewer trains and buses because so many transit workers have become sick with COVID-19.
As a result, trains and buses are JAM PACKED with essential workers who are likely being infected in these spaces and then infecting all others they come in contact with.
Neither Governor Andrew Cuomo nor Mayor Bill de Blasio have come up with a solution to this MAJOR problem. Wall Street and employers have no solutions either.
