even numbers = liczby parzyste - parzyste comes from word "para", meaning pair/couple
so literally even numbers in polish are couple numbers

now, TVP is a public TV channel, filled with propaganda praising current leading party (PiS), which is VERY conservative, and what comes with it - religious and homophobic
TVP came up with idea of streaming classes for quarantined primary school students - english, maths, science

during those TV classes, two ladies tried explaining what even numbers are to kids from 1st grade. they explained it saying: "even number is a number that has a couple"

maybe pair would fit better in this sentence but it's one word in polish AND IT'S IMPORTANT
