This will be long, but stick with me.
Frequently, when doing clinical trials for drugs, vaccines, you have to take your sample from the people most affected by the disease.

At the time most gay men were, rightfully, still terrified of being open and didn’t want to go for pharm trials, so researchers went with the next option...sex workers.
So when the scientist says, “yes" in response when the journalist asked him whether they will do it in Africa "the same way we did with HIV and Prostitutes” he’s not saying the medical community sees the entirety of Africa as a prostitute for fucks sake.
He’s saying “this is a pandemic, as HIV was, it will and already has begun to, overwhelm the African Medical community. They need a treatment as soon as the rest of the world gets it. They are exposed. as are the rest of us, and this study will be also have to be done in Africa”
(Oh and if you think HIV wasn’t bad in the 80s to early 2000s before ARVs were available, ask the East and South Africans so they can explain it to you very well and if they are so willing, in graphic detail. A whole age group died out).
(They HAD to do studies here. We had no idea what we were dealing with and we did not have the medical supplies or infrastructure to deal with it. A situation that sounds eerily familiar, doesn’t it?)

Now there’s a fun thing about genetics. The African physiology has a tendency to react in novel, wondrous ways to drugs that tested well in Caucasian populations. This study is not just being done in Africa.

The journalist, who you can see looks off in the distance at someone in the background...... tied a neat little loop around him with word that HE HIMSELF admitted were provocative.
Now, the BCG vaccine (aka the tuberculosis vaccine) has been shown to have a protective effect against respiratory infections (which COVID 19 starts out as).
The mindset here is.. If the BCG vaccine can activate your innate immune system from the get go (because symptoms are the sign that your body is fighting an infection, right?....
.......The covid 19 virus escapes your body’s surveillance system for 1-2 weeks and by the time your body notices it’s under attack, it has been overwhelmed).
But.. if BCG can stimulate your immune system.. then your body will notice the infection sooner, and will fight off the virus when it hasn’t spread widely yet, so the symptoms won’t be as bad, and you’ll have a better chance of recovering.
Nobody is out to use Africans as labrats. The person who took this I min clip from a whole interview knew what he was doing. The woman who first brought it to English twitter's attention only fanned the flames with her interpretation.
