⚠️ HOW TO NOT SPOIL: A GUIDE ⚠️

1. Always tag your tweets
2. Use official hashtags, not (only) custom hashtags
3. Never post story screenshots without a caption (with proper tags)
4. Discuss spoilers with our mutuals somewhere else (for example DMs or Discord)
ABOUT CUSTOM HASHTAGS (1)

It might seem cool to use your own tag for your commentary. But doing so assumes people have seen your first tweet and promptly muted your hashtag -- something that rarely happens. Usually, you stumble upon a custom hashtag when it's already in use.
ABOUT CUSTOM HASHTAGS (2)

Furthermore, if each of us uses a different hashtag for the same game, it just means a hell lot of tags to be muted by those who don't want spoilers. It's difficult to keep track of all the different hashtags and it gets risky to rely on them.
ABOUT CUSTOM HASHTAGS (3)

It's much safer to tag our tweets with the official hashtags, because that'd be something most people have already muted. So, for example, if I wanted to tweet about Final Fantasy VII Remake, I'd use #FF7R and not #AliplaysFF7R or something.
That said, we should all refrain from posting heavy spoilers, imho, at least until @Twitter doesn't finally implement some kind of text-hiding feature to make its use less frustrating to most of its user. Until then, go on @discordapp and use ||this|| to safely discuss spoilers.
These are hard times when we're all stuck at home. Don't make them harder by spoiling what little fun and enjoyment we have left and forcing people to practice social media distance on top of social distance.

Think twice before you tweet. And be nice.
