NHIF ISSUES
Morning friends. As at this morning thousands probably millions of Kenyans do not have access to healthcare via the NHIF national scheme.
Earlier this year, nhif required beneficiaries to select the outpatient facility of choice by dialling *155#.

This morning, Kenyans who did not choose a facility because of being already at their preferred facility, being unaware of the process or technical challenges will be turned away from hospitals around Kenya. The nhif portal indicates that they are not attached to any facility.

While I believe the process was very well-intentioned, there have been challenges in its execution. Further more, the timing of the implementation with the #COVID19Pandemic is ill-advised.

I propose that YOU reach out to legislators, influential friends or colleagues URGENTLY to lobby @nhifkenya and @MOH_Kenya to ensure that no Kenyan is denied access to healthcare in this time of great need.
