CONCERT TIPS THREAD ✨; a helpful guide if you’ve never been to one before!
even though the mots tour is postponed, it still will happen so i’m making this thread to inform you and to help you get prepared! 😊
if you want to know the rules and guidelines of your venue, you can always visit the stadium’s website and read their policies and guidelines.
1. [BAGS] bring a clear bag or small clutch bag. most stadiums won’t allow backpacks or large purses inside. even if your venue allows it, it is much easier to bring a small clear tote bag or small sling clutch, due to the seating arrangements. your clear bag cannot be tinted.
2. [WHAT TO BRING] if you’re planning to bring a small clutch, i recommend packing a small phone charger, money, your phone, and some hair ties in case it gets windy, and of course your army bomb. +
if you’re going to bring a clear tote bag, i recommend you pack: a phone charger, a wallet, your phone, feminine products, hair ties, a hat, and your army bomb. don’t forget, always bring a light jacket you can tie around your waist or hang on your bag.
3. [TYPES OF BAGS] here are some examples of bags allowed in the stadiums.
[TYPES OF BAGS CONT.] here are some examples of bags that ARE NOT allowed inside the venue. if you bring an illegal bag, they make you check it in.
4. [WHAT TO WEAR] a regular shirt is okay, and it’s up to you to check the weather for the concert day. if rain is in the forecast, make sure to wear something fitting for the rain. if it’s windy, don’t wear skirts or foley dresses. WEAR COMFY SHOES!!
5. [MERCH LINES] the merch lines tend to be ridiculously long. they tend to stretch very long distances. if you’re going with your friends, it’s best if you separately wait in different lines and the one who gets there first can invite the others to come +
[CONT] some very generous armys like to hand out freebies to those who wait in line! they sometimes hand out goodie bags and photocards. be sure to thank people who give you some!
6. [MAKING FRIENDS] in merch lines, at your seat, or waiting in line, there will always be people next to you. to make the experience better, talk to the armys next to you! while waiting for the concert to start, it’s a great to talk to your neighbors!
7. [USING THE RESTROOM] PLEASE GO BEFORE THE CONCERT STARTS!! there will be a line, so going a few minutes right before it starts is a terrible idea. i recommend using the restroom 30-45 minutes before you enter the venue.
8. [ARRIVING] if you want to be there early for soundcheck, you can arrive when the venue opens. you can check the stadium’s hours on their website. i recommend arriving at 10-11 am!
