Google has released "mobility data" (location tracking) for various countries showing how we've changed our movements. Here's London's
Also holy shit here's the differential in country-wide policies. On the left, the UK which is in near-lockdown. On the right, Sweden, which... isn't.
Spain (left) and Italy (right) are pretty shut down, according to Google data
Here's the bit where Google explains how this isn't creepy (which I'm iffy about, but having said that, I'm using live busyness data from Google search results to time my supermarket shops so I'm a hypocrite)
You'll be pleased to hear that I've gone through all the data and in the UK at least, none of the out-of-home numbers have increased, so overall we're not a nation of morons
Also Donald Trump is an idiot, and the US is in even worse a situation than we are (US on left, UK on right)
Uhhhh this is so big and worrying it has to stretch across two tweets. US states seeing an increase in visits to parks in the last month and a bit include... Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Missisippi, Missouri, Montana (1/2)
Nebraska, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, Virginia and West Virginia, Wyoming (2/2). Yikes.
Some caveats: this is for people who have Android phones and have location turned on, and allow location history to be tracked, so isn't representative. Also presuming that the mobility data for residential places is lower than reality because people turn off location at home
