Where Dabi has dyslexia, pretty bad, but was never diagnosed for it or knew about it. All the time he was screamed at by Enji that he was an idiot and so dumb he couldn't even read one page in less than twenty minutes.

His is back then 3 year old brother could read faster than him. He went in life thinking he really was fucking dumb. So everytime Shigaraki says sth like "Dabi, write this down". Without skipping a heartbeat he goes :"Twice, u do it."

Now that the LOV turned into PLF there are bunch of reports given to him and expected to be read as the right hand man. But Dabi burns them up says he never got them and sb should either leave him alone or give a brief summary.

Until Hawks came along. He would show Dabi a meme with like 2 lines and Dabi stares at the writing for quit some time before grinning at the joke. He would text him and he does take a long time to replay to longer texts. And often words get mixed up due to auto correct.

And then one time. Hawks pushes a little paper towards Dabi during a meeting. Dabi read the notes. Hawks says it is boring Dabi should draw him some nudes or sth. Dabi writes down. They paper goes around a few times

Hawks does not comment on the horrible spelling. Until after the meeting where they threw a thick as report at everyone to finish by tomorrow. Glaring at Dabi that they all knew he got it this time. They expect his full take on it.

Dabi was ready to just burn it again because he doesn't like it when people get cocky with him. But Hawks stops him and when the meeting is over he is like:"Hey, wanna go up to your room? Go over the report together?"

Dabi looks at him. Yes he wanted that. But why us hawks offering what is in it for him.
"Why?" He asks him as he looks through the pages. The print is so small. No spaces...no white lines...they hated him for sure.

Hawks says:"Your have dyslexia right?"
Dabi frowns, looks at Hawks. "I don't know what std ur accusing me for having."
Hawks laughs. He explains it is not an std. Dabi listens to him. Yeah that sounds like him...so he was like mentally insufficient?

Hawks shakes his head, says tons of people have it. Some pretty bad others light. It is nothing to be ashamed of. He picks up the report. Says they go over it together. In his bedroom on his bed. Just finished going over every sentence.

Dabi talks about when he was a kid and he was troubles reading. How his father screamed at him. Punished him saying he was doing it on purpose..how he wasn't allowed to have dinner until he re-wrote his assignments without errors them. Often his sister would take pity on him

And do it for him. He says he really thought he was stupid, some illiterate. Hawks looks at him. "You are pretty smart ya know..." he says, "honestly i should be wary around you." He chuckles.

Yes. He should have been wary about him.
