Suffering from a lot more insomnia than I ever have before. I suppose that is to be expected given the current state of the world. 1/x
It’s odd how quickly everything changed. I had to take a trip to #Boston25 news today to swap out a laptop so I can better work from home (something as a journalist I didn’t think would ever be possible) 2/x
It was an odd feeling being outside. It felt as if I was doing something wrong. A trip to work, something that used to be just a mundane part of everyday life, now felt like a guilty pleasure. 3/x
FWIW, #Boston25 is doing a great job of providing as many of its workers the opportunity to WFH. I actually didn’t even get to enter the building, instead the laptop was waiting for me at the guard shack. We’re all doing our part to help keep each other healthy.
The phone calls I take on behalf of the station these days are probably the eeriest part of my daily routine. “Take care” and “have a good night” have been replaced mostly with “stay safe” from complete strangers.
My fiancée is not as lucky as I am to work from home. Thankfully the store she works in is closed to the public/only doing curbside pickup, but every time she walks out the door in the morning I worry.
I’m just now realizing I lost the numbering on this thread/ stream of consciousness. For those keeping score we’re at 7/x.
