Thread: I’ve always been interested in skincare and I started seriously reading and learning about it since I was in my mid 20s. I quickly learned that what I put on my face is not as important as improving my lifestyle habits.
What I feed my body, how much water I’m drinking, how many hours of sleep I’m getting, my personal hygiene - everything plays a part.
It’s a whole lifestyle. That’s why I shy away recommending any facial products because it really takes effort (and more than just products) to maintain good skin. It starts from within and also your surroundings, not just what you put on your face.
Having said that, I’ve always shared that using raw, organic honey has helped me a lot with clearing my skin when I had serious problems in my early 20s. Anything natural is always recommended.
Recently, (especially since I’m turning 33 this year 😰) I’ve also started playing around and reading up with serums and oils that helps maintain my skin. These are some that works for me. (Left section: skincare | right: makeup though I use very minimally)
But all in all, even with just using these products, if I don’t take care of other aspects of my life, my skin wouldn’t be healthy. So taking care of your well being and improving your personal habits is always the FIRST step to any skincare routine. For me, at least. 😔
